Spring Fun Skills Grades K-1
WYS players can take advantage of additional soccer opportunities to work on their skill building this spring season. Westwood Youth Soccer (WYS) is offering professionally-coached, fun, skills sessions tailored to players in grades K-1.

Sessions will be led by professional coaches from the WYS Coach Mentoring group Proformance Soccer. Players will work on skill building through exciting, fun, and competitive soccer activities. 

Dates: Five early release WEDNESDAYS:  April 3, April 10, April 24, May 8, and May 22.  
**Make up session will be June 5, if needed due to canceled session. 

Session Time Slots: 

• Grades K-1: 4:00pm - 5:00pm

Cost: $80 per player for five 60-minute sessions. No proration available. Spaces are limited.

Location: Sheehan School Fields

Players must wear shin guards covered by soccer socks, cleats, and no jewelry/earrings. Players should bring a ball and reusable water bottle.

Spring Soccer Skills and Scrimmages Grades 2-8
WYS players in Grades 2-8 can take advantage of additional soccer opportunities to work on refining their fundamental soccer skills this spring season. 

The weekly sessions will be coached by professional coaches under the direction of the WYS Director of Coaching Alex Gerson. Players will work on a variety of soccer skills including ball handling, shooting, and defending through fun mini games and skill challenges. 

Dates: Five 60-minute sessions: SUNDAYS:  April 7, (Skip April 14), April 21, April 28, May 5, May 12

Grade-Specific Session Time Slots: 

• Grade 2-4 Coed  11:00am - 12:00pm

• Grade 5-8 Coed: 12:00pm - 1:00pm

Cost: $80 per player for five 60-minute sessions. No proration available. Spaces are limited.

Location: Lodge Field   45 Clapboardtree St

Players must wear shin guards covered by soccer socks, cleats, and no jewelry/earrings. Players should bring a ball and reusable water bottle.

Goalkeeper Skills: Grades 2-8

WYS is offering specific skill sessions focused on GOALKEEPING for Boys and Girls in Grades 2-8. The weekly sessions will be coached by professional coaches under the direction of the WYS Director of Coaching Alex Gerson. 

Players will work on improving their goalkeeping techniques like shot stopping and distribution, as well as developing their goalie decision making and positioning.

Dates: Four 60-minute sessions: SATURDAYS:  April 6, April 13, (Skip April 20), April 27, May 4

Session Times: 

• Grades 2-8: 5:00pm - 6:00pm

• Grades 2-8: 6:00pm - 7:00pm

Cost: $32 per player for four 60-minute sessions. No proration available.

Location: Thurston Middle School Fields

Players must wear shin guards covered by soccer socks, cleats, and no jewelry/earrings. Players should bring a ball and reusable water bottle. Bring goalie gloves as well if you have your own pair.

NOTE: There is a combined registration option for Grade 2-8 to sign up for BOTH Skills and Goalkeeper sessions together

Financial Hardship Fee Waivers
Requests for registration fee waivers for those who need financial support will be considered.
Players must be residents of Westwood or attend a school in Westwood.

Refund/Credit Policy:

Westwood Youth Soccer will honor refund/credit requests for the following reasons:

1. A season-ending injury or illness incurred before the first game or skill session of the season provided a doctor's note is received prior to the start of the season.

2. If WYS is unable to place the player on a team or in a skill session for any reason and therefore the child is unable to participate in soccer activities for that season. 

3. If the family moves out of Westwood and notifies the registrar before the first game or skill session of the season. 

4. If the family withdraws within 30 days from the date when the specific program’s registration period opened AND before the start of the program. 

Late fees are not refundable. A $10 processing fee will be deducted from all check or credit card refunds but does not apply if registration credit is applied to the account. No processing fee will be charged for refunds under Reason 2. 

To receive a refund, please contact the registrar. If a refund request is denied, it may be appealed to the WYS Board. 

Westwood Youth Soccer reserves the right to refuse participation in its programs if it is felt that there is sufficient concern/cause to restrict participation.

WESTWOOD YOUTH SOCCER is partnering with AdminSports.com, an online youth sports service provider, for processing online registrations. Please note, you will need a credit card (American Express, MasterCard or Visa) and health insurance information to complete the registration.

All questions with a red asterisk * must be answered to complete the registration.

There are multiple steps in the registration process:

1. *Family Setup: You will only have to do this the first time you register. Please use an email address you regularly check as this is the email that all WYS communication will be addressed to. If you forget your password, you will need your correct email address. Please enter Legal names for all adults and children if requested.

2. *Player Setup: Again, you will only have to do this once for each player.

3. *Registration for the season: This contains the information that may need to be updated for each player, each season such as school, grade, health insurance information, emergency contact, and medical information.

4. *Waivers: Agree to all required waivers and initial where required.

5. *Checkout: You may pay by Credit Card or request a Financial Hardship Fee Waiver. Personal checks are not accepted. No child will be denied the opportunity to play soccer for substantiated financial reasons. Fee waivers MUST be requested during the OPEN registration period. Fee waivers for late registrations will not be granted, with the exception that fee waivers will be granted at any time if the family qualifies for the Federal free/reduced fee lunch program (distinct from the Massachusetts all-inclusive free lunch program) or the Westwood School Bus Transportation fee waiver. 

6. Email Receipt: Credit card charges will show up on your statements as: AdminSports (Jasper, TN) - Sports Registration. If you requested a fee waiver, you should submit a written statement supporting the request with financial hardship rationale within two weeks by replying to your receipt email.

7. Chargeback fee passthrough: Should WYS be notified of a chargeback fee applied by a credit card company, the entire fee amount will added onto the family's registration balance due. This is a direct pass-through administrative cost.

The registration site is compatible with most current browsers. However, if you encounter any browser problems, please try a different browser. 

NOTE: Some corporate and University firewalls do not allow access to this registration site. If you have trouble with access at work, please try again at home.
