  • COVID-19 Update - Spring Season Canceled

We hope all our WYS families are staying safe!

Given the recent announcement from Governor Charlie Baker that schools will remain physically closed through June, WYS has canceled all soccer activities for the Spring 2020 season. Although we are all extremely disappointed, the safety of our community is paramount.

The WYS Board of Directors has voted unanimously to credit all families who paid for Spring 2020 registration with the full amount of registration fees. Fall players in our full-year K-2 Mites program will receive a 50% credit, representing the cancellation of the spring season as well.

    Credit Process

Families who wish to receive a credit do not need to take any action. A credit for the full value of paid Spring 2020 registrations will be applied to your family’s account in our registration system. Credits can be used for any family member’s future registration and do not expire.

    Donation or Refund Options

    1. Families can choose to donate the value of their registration fees to support WYS. Donated fees will help fund ongoing Westwood Youth Soccer programs including what we think may be an increased need for scholarships/financial hardship fee waivers given the ongoing economic impact of COVID-19.
    2. Families can request a full refund of paid registration fees covering the Spring 2020 season to the credit card used in the original transaction.

To choose the donation or refund option, just Click HERE and login to the account you used to register your child(ren).  Click the green “Select Credit/Refund” button under Options on the right side of the Family Information page displayed when you log in. You will be presented with a screen that contains a welcome message and check boxes to indicate your Donation or Refund option choice. Select your choice, then click "Submit".

Again, if you just want to receive a credit to your account, you do not need to take any action.

    Timing

All credits, donations, or refunds will be processed around May 15. If you want to select the donation or refund option, please login and complete your request in the system by May 13. After that date, we will default to granting the credit to your account.

Only one selection choice can be applied across all player registrations within a family.

Our thoughts are with all our WYS participants and their families. Please stay safe everyone, and hopefully we will see you on and around the pitch this fall.
