Regardless of the prevailing circumstances this fall, WYS will strive to deliver exciting and fun soccer activities to all our players. We are adapting our programs as needed, but do not anticipate having to cancel entirely or provide refunds for the upcoming fall season.

The level of our offered soccer activities will be governed by what our state, local, and organization guidelines allow:

If the BAYS Travel League is scheduled:

  • Grades 4-8 will play on teams in the BAYS league with any needed modifications to comply with guidelines
  • Grade 3 will play on teams in our current local inter-town league with any needed modifications to comply with guidelines
  • Grades K-2 Mites program will play as previously constructed with any needed modifications to comply with guidelines

If the BAYS Travel League is NOT scheduled, AND guidelines allow for INTER-town game play:

  • Grades 4-8 will play on teams in a TBD local inter-town league with any needed modifications to comply with guidelines
  • Grade 3 will play on teams in our current local inter-town league with any needed modifications to comply with guidelines
  • Grades K-2 Mites program will play as previously constructed with any needed modifications to comply with guidelines

If the BAYS Travel League is NOT scheduled, AND guidelines ONLY allow for INTRA-town game play:

  • Grades 3-8 will play on teams in an intramural Westwood v Westwood league with any needed modifications to comply with guidelines
  • Grades K-2 Mites program will play as previously constructed with any needed modifications to comply with guidelines

If Current Restrictions on soccer GAME Play persist:

  • For all grades, K-8, WYS will work to provide fun, competitive, and engaging activities for the players (following all published guidelines) which may include individual skill challenges or fun soccer-based competitions. Sessions will be try to be scheduled at generally similar times to prior game slots.

Given the current uncertainties, there is no late registration fee this season. Registrations after July 31 will be waitlisted and ONLY placed on a space-available basis.

Financial Hardship Fee Waivers
Requests for registration fee waivers due to financial hardship must come during OPEN registration through July 31. Fee waivers for late registrations will not be granted.
If your child is on the free or reduced lunch program at school, registration fee waivers are always available.

Please consider volunteering. We will need extra help this season in particular! Soccer knowledge a plus, but not a requirement. If you want to submit your name to be considered for a Coach, Assistant Coach, or Parent Manager position please select the appropriate volunteer option and complete the volunteer information when you are registering your child during this online registration process.

Players must be residents of Westwood or attend school in Westwood.

PLEASE read before proceeding:

Volunteers: If you want to submit your name to be considered for a Coach, Assistant Coach, Parent Manager, or WYS Board position, please select the appropriate volunteer option and complete the volunteer information when you are registering your child during this online registration process. Volunteer records do NOT carryover from season to season.

This does not mean you have to make a commitment at this time. It is necessary to have the information in the system to be selected as a volunteer. Your LEGAL name and correct date of birth is REQUIRED for a CORI security background check which is mandated by Mass Youth Soccer. If you would like to volunteer to help more than one of your children, please complete the process for each program. Two parents may volunteer to help at the time of the initial registration.

Refund Policy:

Westwood Youth Soccer will honor refund requests for the following reasons:

1.  A full refund for a season-ending injury or illness incurred before the first game or skill session of the season provided a doctor's note is received prior to the start of the season.

2.  If WYS is unable to place the player on a team or in a skill session for any reason and therefore the child is unable to participate in soccer activities for that season.

3.  If the family moves out of Westwood and notifies the registrar before the first game of the season.

Late fees are not refundable. To receive a refund, please contact the registrar. If a refund request is denied, it may be appealed to the WYS Board.

Westwood Youth Soccer reserves the right to refuse participation in its programs if it is felt that there is sufficient concern/cause to restrict participation.
